Meet Brigette GormanI trained at the University of Otago and gained a first class Honours degree in psychology (2003) followed by my post-graduate diploma in clinical psychology for which I attained a distinction pass (2006) and finally I completed my PhD in 2010. I have a strong research and clinical background.
I have been working in private practice since 2011. I work three days a week in private practice from Riccarton. I have worked in health and mental health settings and been involved in University based research on ADHD and earthquake stress. My interests include anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, ADHD, and living with physical health conditions and life limiting health conditions. I also have an emerging interest in gender dysphoria, gender identity and working with LGBTQ+ people. Beyond this, my interests include cognitive and behavioural evidence-based treatment approaches and effective treatment delivery. I have also recently begun training in EMDR. |
